Settling In at Oliver Parks: Reflections from Week One

At Oliver Parks, we know that a great first week can set the tone for a successful journey. That’s why we love hearing directly from our new starters about their experiences as they settle in. We recently sat down with Oli to ask her a few questions about how he’s found his first week with us – from the highlights and the onboarding process, to what he’s most excited about in the months ahead.

What made you choose to join OP?

I had friends and family say that recruiting could be a good fit for my skills and personality so, once I moved here, I sought out recruiting roles and OP stood out to me for the fields they worked in and their US connections. As someone who lived and studied in New York for 5 years, I believed I could be a solid addition to the company and build strong relationships.

What’s been the highlight of your first week at Oliver Parks?

Meeting the team and diving into the mission critical sector of Data Centres, Aviation, and Healthcare.

How has the onboarding process helped you settle in?

It has made me feel more at ease calling potential candidates as I now have a better understanding of how to screen candidates.

How would you describe the team vibe in three words?

Funny, supportive, well rounded (if that counts as one word haha)

Who or what has made your first week easier?

Getting to know the team more and learning by doing. 

What are you most excited about for the next few months at Oliver Parks?

Making my first deal hopefully! The staff outings, building friendships within the office and of course the Xmas meal!
